This $2 Million Dollar Expansion added a second tunnel system and 10,000 sq. ft. to the building. With the expansion complete, the Muskogee Plant is now by far the largest healthcare laundry in the state of Oklahoma, and the largest in most of the nearby surrounding states. Over 100 invited guests attended the opening, including customers, area business leaders, and elected officials. Speaking at the Open House were Drew Edmondson, Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma, Hershel McBride, Mayor of the City of Muskogee, as well as representatives from each of the U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives for the State of Oklahoma. Superior Linen’s company president, Douglas Waldman, was presented with an engraved plaque signed by the Governor of Oklahoma, honoring Superior Linen for continuing to expand, despite the current economic environment. The guests were treated to a guided tour of the facility, with staff explaining all of the equipment and parts of the laundry process. Following the tour, a catered BBQ lunch outside under a tent was served. Events such as this open house are what sets Superior apart from the competition and make us the premier textile supplier in the region.
